Hello to all Blackstar Fans
First post, so please forgive any errors I make. I had bumped into this thread a few months ago when searching for info about my Greek Blackstar figures and I have to say WOW the entire thread is full of useful info. Recently tho, I found out that some of my items were mentioned. Both the site on page 24 (vtv) and the Scorpion – Kadray Head error on page 25 are mine. Before assuming that I am here to sell. I am not.
I am here to answer if the Wrong Head is a "fraud" on the eBay listing mentioned by *coinilius* and *blackstar76*. I used to have 6 (yeah six) of those boxes all with the wrong head, 3 with red demon and 3 with black demon. And 3 boxed blond Atlas one with green Carpo, one with red demon and one with black. I am a toy store owner so most of my items came directly from the factory. So I am pretty sure that these are factory errors. El Greco was really screwing thing up after the middle of the 80’s. The mix ups they made were really a lot (and not just in the MOTU toyline). Why would you assume that a "wrong" demon is a factory error and not the head? Have you ever seen a Palace Guard body with Kadray's Head? Because I haven't. As for the prices on those figures (stupidity?!?). How much would you sell your figures?? Because if you are, I want to buy them.
Sorry if I got carried away. Hope I didn’t offended anyone.

Thanks for your post. I would never sell my figures and none of us sells any figures here, so, unfortunately you can't buy anything. I consider myself an expert in these toys so, with all due respect I wouldn't give more than 30 Euros for the el greco figures, as for the head error figure,it isn't worth mentioning. Hope I didn't offend you...

Hi Leon - first, welcome to the board! It is always good to see new Blackstar fans join us here! Second, sorry if any offends was taken by our discussion of your item (Wrong Head as you called him) before you joined us - our first reaction is to be cautious, at least I know mine is - it is great to hear from the original seller to discuss the figure further
(Sent while on my iPhone - will post more later)

Thanks for the welcome. No offense taken, just wanted to put the other side of the story in this thread as well. You are right blackstar76, no fan would sell their figures … unless, well, he needed the money. That is the reason of the (insanely) high prices, so it’s worth giving them away. If they don’t sell I will still be happy (perhaps happier). Also true these are not MOTU, but “Kiriarxoi Toy Sympantos” kinda translates to “Masters of the Universe” so I used that abbreviation. Sorry. We could call them ROTU (Rulers of the Universe) if you want. {xmm Rulers of the universe -> Queen, Highlander | Bad idea } Anyway, you have every right to be cautious. I don’t blame you. Just wanted to give all the facts. I will be happy to discuss things further, so if you have anything to ask, please do so. You can also PM me or even better send me an email (you should have it as administrators right?). In the mean time here is a pic of the blond Atlas with the Black Demon.
Will have more pics after Saturday to share.
(Had to replace the demon's rubber band cause the old one broke but still this looks awesome)

I've said it before, (or words to that effect) - That black demon is a powerful looking figure! It's great that we can have the other side of the story - that is what we want on this forum, a place where all Blackstar fans can get together and share information, ideas and their love of the characters, toys etc in a friendly environment

Hey, congratsulations for the big purchase man!!! To tell you the truth, I've never removed my wind machine from the box, ha,ha, I just checked if everything was in it! So, I've never tried to assemble it... It shouldn't be too hard though... I'll check it out. By the way, which trobbits did you get?

Perhaps a specific thread for trades and requests might be a good idea - requests like this one could get lost in a thread of this size EDIT: Leave the request here for the moment, Monteeg - I have sent White Dwarf a message to check on creating a 'Trades and Requests' thread that could be stickied, then if that's approved all requests can be moved to such a thread, same with notifications of ebay sales

I'm in the process of searcing for the dutch blackstar... Well, you finally have a Dutch collector here. 20thcentury toy collector doesn't respond to my email so I think he is a busy man. I know Blackstar was introduced here in the Netherlands in 1985. I have seen a promo article in a toy and hobby magazine from 1985 that toy stores got and still get. Otto Simon was the distributor of the Toy line back then. The same company who made the Dutch Blackstar and Infaceables poster. The figures in that poster can be seen in the Blackstar videoclip featuring Georgie Davis posted by me a couple of days ago. That's all I can find about the Dutch Blackstar line. The rest I have to do by memory. Blackstar toys where in the Toy shelves for only 1 season: 1985/86. I have only seen the laserlight wave 2 and 3 un the toy stores. The cartoon never aired on Dutch TV by my knowledge. By the end of 1986 they had to be sold very cheap because every kid (including me) wanted to have the MOTU toys who could be watched on TV. They where on sale for about 2 US dollars. I never heard of, or seen the Infeacables figures. I think Galoob tried to tie them to the Blackstar line in order for them to sell and only by that one add and poster during Blackstars very popular but short succes period when Georgie Davis song/videoclip was a huge hit! The two toy lines where sold as 2 different lines unlike the Greece variants who both where known as Masters of the Universe.

Thanks for your help, it is very much appreciated! Same thing happened in Greece, and the Blackstar figures faded away with the coming of motu. Posting that video clip by Georgie Davis was actually a great piece of information and its now a part of blackstar history, which we are trying to preserve through this forum.
