Along with anything that has to do with sword and sorcery, I love Judge Dredd. I'm an 80s kid and I grew up with the 80s stuff.
I'm not much into marvel, I'm more into 2000ad fiction.
Because I'm an 80s comic fan, and never did much of research, I recently discovered battle chasers, a great comic of the 90s that was never finished. And despite the fact I hate that manga approach in comics, I really liked this one.
Oh, and heavy metal comic rules!!!

It is a miracle that a lot of us had grew up in europe. We have a different point of view for some things.
Yes 2000AD is the most cult dark/sci-fi/fantasy magazine in the whole planet.I love Pat Mills works as Slaine, Nemesis the Warlock and A.B.C. Warriors. And Judge Dredd is a lovely one.
I collect regular volumes of DC comics. From new reboot i collect Superman, Superboy, Nightwing, Deathstroke, Green Arrow, Teen Titans, Young Justice and Action Comics.
I love a lot of DC characters such as Lobo, Booster Gold, Captain Comet, Power Girl(i'm in love...)etc.
From sword and sorcery i like Conan of course a big heat in the 80's and the new Dark Horse comics title is excellent.
Another comic i recomment is Kabuki of Dave Mack an excellent japan influensed story with undercover organizations, yakuza and a revenge backround with the synonymous (anti)heroine.
If you like straight sword and sorcery i suggest Warlord of DC.This is a ''must''.
Also some european comics i like are Tin-Tin (our innocence and childhood is here) and Mac Coy with wonderfull artwork from A.H.Palacios.

Also another comic i like is ''Cuda-An Age of Metal and Magik'' writed and penciled by Tim Vigil.
I find a paperback of Avatar Press in a local comic book store and i don't bye it.Now it's very difficult to find it cause it's out of print.I feel like a jerk.
Vigil's artwork is awsome.

I read a lot of DC comics at the moment - In the past I preferred Marvel, but I really just find a lot of Marvel's general direction just annoying now. I'm not exactly happy with the whole new 52 DC relaunch, but I'm not totally against it either... like in all things, you get the good and the bad, and you just have to sort out which is the good... Also currently read Fables and the Unwritten from Vertigo. DC's Warlord is indeed a must for sword and sourcery and classic comic fans! Also has some nice Remco toys, if you're into that sort of thing...

You mean the lost world of the warlord toyline? I thought this was a marvel adaptation!
I recently bought a deimos figure to use his head for a custom keldor figure!
Motorhead, I found some torrents of the Arawn comic in the internet but it is in German! Is it a german comic? The artwork is really awesome and it reminds me of Slaine a lot!

Nope, Warlord was a DC comic Nice choice of head for a Keldor - did you paint it blue? (In my personal continiuty, Keldor is Randor's full brother, not his half brother or blue skinned lol)

Thanks for the info about the warlord comic! I'm in the process of downloading some issues.
Yes, I've painted it blue and put it in a vintage skeletor's body! It fits perfectly, since it's a KO! But it's not ready yet. Actually I gave it to an artist, a very good friend of mine, and he's gonna ad some hair and make some changes, in his moustache and small beard. He's also gonna paint a white line in his hair as in the MYP series. But this is gonna be a vintage one! I'll definately post some photos when it's ready!

@arawn is a french comic as i remember and Heavy Metal has the rights for the u.s. market. For me is better to bye the two or three stories published from Heavy Metal. The guys have an e-shop in the magazine's site so you can find the issues there. And the paperbacks of the story maybe.I bye some stuff some years ago and the guys were really helpfull.
@warlord is an excellent comic that i'm interesting to buy.As i remember has a lot of sci-fi influences mixed with the legend of middle earth (not Tolkien's one).DC is published the first showcase book and it's really good.

lol yeah Warlord is set in Skartaris, which is a 'hollow earth' realm at the centre of the earth, like in Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth or Edgar Rice Burrough's Pellucidar series (which is probably the more direct inspiration of the two )

There's this dc motu digital only series that runs along side with the official motu series and is sold in a site called comixology for 0,99 dollars. This series is focused on the origins of the main motu characters. About a week or so ago it was she-ra's turn!!! A fantastic comic! You should really check it out, not your average girly story.
Dc has released the origins of skeletor comic as well and I ordered it in physical copy. The origins of he-man is due January 2013!
