granamyr@yahoo.com, Jay. At least now I won't have to point to my fan-created canon whenever discussing something (i.e. "Well, in my story I did it this way....") You gotta be warned, though: there's plenty of gore in these stories. It's a violent universe, and Blackstar has eighteen very expendable bodyguards for a reason. Jay could tell you more. OK! It's on my home computer and I'll be back home on Tues evening. I'll send it to you then!

Whitedwarf, Blackstar is not indestructible. That's the problem. The Starsword is impervious, and yes, contact with it alters John's DNA to the point where he can simply channel the power through him (though not without some nasty side effects), but he isn't invincible.

I'm sure your stories will treat this subject a step further. (is your name Laura, by the way?) Anyway, I don't think of a D.N.A. radical "alteration", rather an "absorbability" of power at a molecular level. There's a big difference. I suppose that, without the Starsword, Blackstar's physical powers would gradually dissolve.

I never thought of the Starsword as actually altering him at a DNA level either, just bathing him in magic that boosted his strength and durability, kind of like a forcefield under his skin. I'm guessing that when he is away from the Starsword it would slowly start to fade.

I agree with MetalDragon, but I also think Blackstar's physical powers are many more: think about the sequence where he throws a monster away in a very agile and fast way.
I still think his enhanced abilities are: density (invulnerability), strength, speed, agility, durability, reflexes, senses and maybe pulmonary capability.

Whitedwarf, you can't expect that a fan-created version of Blackstar is going to have exactly the same capabilities as the cartoon one. Some things are missing, and some things have been added. Blackstar's bad-a** qualities have been heightened considerably. I did do a sequel to "Crown of the Sorceress," and the way Blackstar deals with Taleena isn't anything you would have seen in the cartoon.

Sex between them?! Good God! Not when he's still wearing a wedding ring because he's married to Katana and names his personal windship after her. Not when he ends up slicing crazy-a** pregnant dog Taleena in half at the end of the story. Not when Taleena is the half-sister Mara just doesn't like to talk about.
