There are storybooks and comics? I've never seen those. Are they any good? I don't seem to recall anything unusual about Blackstar's pronunciation of "Sagar." Indeed, he pronunces it "S ay-gar/S ei-gar". I was referring to the original Sagarese pronunciation, that could be less americanized, thus "S a-gar" as it is written.

Galoob didn't really care about this toy line. Trobbits misspelled on the cards and then Zagar instead of Sagar. Come on how can they not care about things like that huh?
I don care if the toy cards say Zagar for me it will always be Sagar.

So Mike, just don't care, my friend.

Yeah for me the toyline was a a way to pay tribute to the toon. Don't get me wrong I appreciate the fact that we got some figures but when they started to come up with their own vehicles and monsters that draw the line. Gallob isn't Mattel. Blackstar is not He-Man. So they should respect that fact.
With He-Man the toys came first then they were adapted in the cartoons. That's the way MOTU worked. But Blackstar was the other way around so the "Canon" is the toon and nothing else. Galoob didn't own Blackstar so how can they create stuff out of nothing huh? There were alot of characters in those 13 epsiodes that could've been made into toys, why make stuff up when you have already stablished vehicles, characters and playsets huh? This is what I don't understand.

zimraphel: the 2nd dvd contains scripts for every episode, and storyboards for 11 & 13.
that's an interesting etymology of the name, and i didn't know they made a video game! i'm going to have to google that.
i always cringe at the slang pronunciation of the 'ae' diphthong as 'A' (as in horses eat HAY) instead of the proper 'AE' (as in the EYE you see with). like, everyone pronounces Aeon Flux, as 'Eee-On' instead of 'Eye-On'. it's just weird to hear it being used incorrectly all the time. then again, i'm still going to pronounce it Say-Gar because that's how they said it. :S

The proper Say-Gar pronunciation is not that bad, overall. I just love the way Italian dubbers used to pronunce the name... 'Sagar', as you write it!
