Has anyone else picked up a copy of Thundarr on DVD? I'm still making my way through my recent NA He-Man and Voltron purchases, but I want to get a copy of this after I finish with those...

I consider He-Man/Blackstar/Thundarr as a Trilogy !
I really like Thundarr cartoon and I've been collection the action figures too...
Recently, I read an amazing review and learn about Jack Kirby's contribuitions for the show. His original art is wonderful and the Darkseid-like vilain he created (Gemini), awesome !

I've got the Thundarr DVD set. It's very bare bones and they didn't do much in the way of remastering but it's just so good to have the episodes!
I also include the Dungeons & Dragons cartoon as a childhood favorite.

Did you know Thundarr characters would be released in action figures by MEGO in early 80's ? They would be 3 3/4 scale, like Star Wars and GI Joe... Unfortunately, MEGO decided to release 'Love Boat' figures instead... Years late, Remco thought to release Thundarr, Ariel and Ookla, like they did with Warlord, Warrior Beasts and Conan (taking advantege of MOTU success). Just keep in mind we could had Thundarr figures in MOTU scale, like Conan !!!

Last week I finally ended my Thundarr collection !
I purchased Ariel and Ookla !!!
The set of three is awesome. I think I should had get them before...
Unfortunately the three horses and at least one villain (Gemini, of course) were not produced. I remember Space Ghost was released with 3 or 4 villains at time...

Yeah, the villain's and horses would have been great additions - the lack of action figures for Thundarr is a real shame, especially actual vintage ones! They would have been awesome.
Are the figures themselves worth hunting down?
