In Spacewrecked, Blackstar used the Starsword to "levitate"/float (in the air) and save himself and Katana from certain death by falling down. I don't truly remember the scene at all. Can you describe me? We may assume that the Starsword generates some kind of kinetic energy, and its destructive blasts (as well as the Powersword's ones) are made of concussive force. This way, we can "unify" the different aspects of the Starsword. The levitation could be just an "hovercraft-like" effect connected to the kinetic energy. What do you think?

I think it's just magic my friend! No science involved here... A magical place with magical creatures and magical artifacts, remember? That's what makes blackstar so special! As I often say, it's pure sword and sorcery!

They're falling and John grabs Katana and points the Starsword downwards, using the blast of magic from the sword to slow their fall.

I'm not too sure about the fact that the Starsword's power is "magic", even. It could just be a form of alien energy coming from a third universe, unknown on Sagar.

In the Pif Gadget comics the Starsword is described as 'The ionic sword! The blade of a thousand powers! Like the magic swords of ancient legend... in this metal, the scientists of Earth had carried out the fission of the primary particles' and 'To render comprehensible to you the virtues of the marvelous sword, I could say that it was forged on a cyclotron-anvil. The blade is at the same time fire, lighting, light and atomic. Nothing resists its power. Neither metal, nor stone. Nor water. Nor air.' Of course, despite having plenty of elaborate fan-theories to tie everything together, this explanation is obviously unique to that particular comic series and isn't canonical to the TV show. I like to think of the Powerstar as having been forged from some powerful material, perhaps created from the heart of a star by the Ancient Ones (maybe even the star that became the black hole/worm hole Blackstar traveled through) and is thus possessed of many wondrous energies and abilities. But that's just me

But that's just me LOL, left alone the Starsword wasn't in any way or shape coming from Earth (OMG)... that description was just wild and crazy! Totally fan-made. Thank you for sharing this. You may be right... or maybe the material was coming from a third universe, that's why the Starsword is so powerful in Sagar's universe.
