it was suggested that i create one thread where we can all post questions, ideas, and comments about the Blackstar Encyclopedia while it's being built.

first off, i've just gotten the scripts for all of the episodes, and storyboards for 11 & 13. so, i won't need to bother anyone with my basic questions about spelling and names and things like that anymore.

1) the biggest unknown i have now is the merchandise pages. does anyone have photo's of the toys or toys you wouldn't mind taking photo's of for this section? credit will be given, of course.

2) does anyone have the storyboards for eps 1-10 and 12, or any information about how to obtain them?

3) if you have the official complete dvd set, would you like to write a review to be posted on the site?

4) i find it difficult to condense an entire episode down to a few sentences. would anyone like to write the episode reviews? i'd like one 'voice' for them all, so i'd like to ask that someone write them all and not just one or two.

5) have any fan art or fan fiction? as long as it's 'clean' you can now submit it for posting in the Encyclopedia.

the only other thing i could mention is that there are about 70 avatars posted on the episode 1 page already. if you want to use any of them on this site, they're 100x76 so they'll fit nicely.

...as an incentive for the 'brief episode reviews', i'd be happy to incorporate your name or screen-name into the heading of that section. something like: 'Rick's Review:', 'Sarah Says:', or 'Warlock Master States:'. and of course you'll get full credit on the credit page: with the contact/site information of your choice, if you wish. all that, a legacy to those fans who'll read it from now on, and my appreciation.

Asking around at Action Figure Archive forums (actionfiguresca.proboards43.com/index.cgi) might be a good place to start when looking for information and resources concerning Blackstar toys - there's a fairly sizeable thread there concerning Blackstar in the MotU & Fantasy Cartoon Figures section.

Hmm, it sounds like you're looking for someone to write capsule summaries of the various episodes, rather than a full blown episode description or review? Sort of like:

Search for the Starsword

While picnicing on the edge of the scenic Pit of Darkness, Blackstar, Mara and Klone's celebatory circle-jerk session is cut short when they are attacked by Lava Locs intent on capturing the Starsword for their master, the Overlord.

Except with less snark in the actual version...

Or would you like more of an actual review written of the episodes?

1) thank you for the url. it's much appreciated.

4) a short teaser filled with names/info is exactly what i'd like. a little personality/humor would be cool if it fits. are you interested? if you are, i'm not really set on a length of sentences or anything like that.. i finished the episode one page and you could take a look at that to see how what you write will fit into the page content.

Is the episode 1 info up at your site? I'll take a look at it and see - there's only thirteen episodes, after all, so getting something written up for each one shouldn't be that hard to do

Just wondering how the Blackstar Encyclopedia is coming along. Anything new to report? Maybe a "What's New" section on the front page would be a good idea. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to provide the Blackstar fandom with such a great resource!
