What does everyone think of the Chronicles of Narnia movies so far? I've really enjoyed both Lion, Witch & Wardrobe and Prince Caspian.
They stuck a whole new section in the middle of Prince Caspian which was rather different but they really had to because the book was a rather shorter plot than the others, most of it taken up by the kids tramping all over Narnia and Lucy wailing about them not seeing Aslan.
It will be interesting to see how Voyage of the Dawn Treader turns out and The Silver Chair too. Loved those books when I was a kid.
I wonder if they will make the other 3 books into movies? I guess it really depends if Voyage and Silver Chair hauls in the cash. I wish they would at least do The Magician's Nephew. I liked A Horse and His Boy but it's a rather "off to the side" kind of story and takes place in the last part of Lion, Witch & Wardrobe shortly before they return to England. I don't know if they could pull off The Last Battle: it's just such a strange book with that ape and donkey as the main characters and it's very religiously preachy.

I've only seen the first one so far, but I'm WAY more interested into the second one ('Prince of Caspian') because the lead character is a powered warrior a-la Blackstar Said that, the first one was entertaining... I must re-watch it, even. Will buy a DVD edition!

I wonder if they will make the other 3 books into movies? Caspian underperformed in Europe, and flopped in America. So I really don't know...

It would be a shame if they didn't do the 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader', I always thought it to be much more interesting than Prince Caspian.

Rhea, I have several doubts they'll put this in production, since Caspian was a major flop and/or a financial disappointment. Not a disaster by any means, but a disappointment nonetheless.

Looks like Voyage of the Dawn Treader IS in production with a release date of May 7, 2010 so it's still a go. I'm sure they'll at least finish the series with The Silver Chair. Not much word on Silver Chair's state of pre-production so far though.

Good news, though Disney has pulled out, Fox has taken over production of Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It's going ahead!

Good news, though Disney has pulled out, Fox has taken over production of Voyage of the Dawn Treader. It's going ahead! After all, it's a very successful franchise.
