Is it me, or the belt looks terrestrial?

Well there's no reason why it couldn't be something left over from his earth gear. Whatever happened to Blackstar's spaceship and gear was never touched on in the show, except for that radio he gave one of the Trobbits (can't remember which one at the moment).

His belt? Do you mean the big gold necklace with the star symbol from his space suit on it that his scabbard for the Starsword hangs off of or the leather one around his waist?

Yes, dear, a walkie-talkie. Appears in the episode Kingdom of Neptul.

The leather one, of course, but... you actually raised a good point: the gold necklace reproduces his insignia as astronaut. Maybe the Trobbits interpreted that as being an important sign of "allegiance" and thus chose to integrate it into his Sagarese outfit. If you see the opening, when Blackstar "sleeps" (presumibly, a temporary coma induced by the crash), they had already arranged the Sagarese outfit for him. The opening is the only *CANON* origin we got.
