But, I have been giving these lost episodes in the Blackstar saga a bit of thought lately (see the Blackstar in french Pif magazine thread). From my reaseach of the Pif-Gadget magazine online, I have the names and issue numbers of the three Blackstar stories that appeared within the magazine in 1985, listed on what appears to be a very comprehensive database of the Pif magazine: bdoubliees.com/connus.html
The stories listed here are:
852: La forêt de cristal (the Forest of Crystal)
854: La tempête de feu (the Storm of Fire)
873: Le territoire des vampires (the Territory of Vampires)
Barbarian has posted a number of scans from these Pif magazine Blackstar stories, including the entire Crystal Forest story (big thanks to Barbarian for doing that - do you still drop by these parts?) The other scans he posted are a little harder to place, since they seem to carry the title 'the Horn of Gold/the Pack of Monsters' on the side, and seem to end in a 'next week' blurb and a lead in to a fight between Blackstar and the Overlord (not exactly a rare occurence). I haven't really looked at these pages in depth yet, though.
So, I guess I'm just trying to track down as much info as possible on the various french Blackstar comics - Pif-Gadget seems to have been a well liked magazine, and is thus well represented on the net, but the other Blackstar comic seems like it will be a much harder beast to pin down. I noticed on the Blackstar yahoo group there was a link to a site that apparently had scans of all the Pif magazine stories that was posted some time ago, but of course, that link seems to be long dead now
Did anyone here manage to catch that before it went down?
A new one to add here as well - issue 859 of Pif Gadget has a picture of Blackstar on the cover!
As does issue 866!
And he made the cover of 846 as well.
And the 'next issue' blurb for issue 859 says that Blackstar is in the next issue as well, so add issue 860 to the list.
Update (25/08/10): I just recieved issue 866 in the mail, and it is quite a bumper issue for Blackstar - the free gift for the issue was one of those cheap pinball games you get, with a Blackstar theme (I was lucky enough to get the pinball game as well as the magazine). The activity section in the back of the magazine is Blackstar themed as well (and seems to have a bit of a story attached to it as well), and the Blackstar story itself for the issue is part one of the Golden Conch storyline that barbarian posted scans for in the past... although the pages he posted came from part 2 of the story.
That gives me a lead on some more issues of Pif Gadget that contained Blackstar stories, though - Issues 867 and 868 presumably contain stories as well, since the Golden Conch is at least three parts (although the parts could be spaced out).
